A reminder to apparel retailers about New York State Law involving the sale of any children's clothing (2-T to 16) with drawstrings

The Retail Council of New York State has partnered with the New York State Consumer Protection Board (www.nysconsumer.gov) to remind Retail Council members that New York State Law [General Business Law, Section 391-b(2)] prohibits the sale of any children's clothing from size 2-T to 16 that includes a drawstring at the neck, at the bottom opening of an upper body garment or at the waist of a lower body garment.
