Workplace Law Consulting Service The nationally renowned law firm of Jackson Lewis LLP is the endorsed legal services provider to Retail Council members. Jackson Lewis provides a full range of services related to workplace law and offers free legal counsel in response to member questions about labor issues such as: employment and employee benefit issues, including issues dealing with the hiring process, maintaining the employer-employee relationship, wage and hour compliance, providing employee benefits (such as health insurance, retirement benefits and the like) and employee terminations.
One of the highlights of this program is a telephone hotline allowing any member to call Jackson Lewis for no cost and immediate consultation (15 -20 minute duration) on their workplace-related questions. If more detailed consultation is needed, a special reduced retainer rate for Jackson Lewis professional services is available exclusively to Retail Council members.
In addition, Jackson Lewis periodically writes informative articles for the Council’s membership publications on critical workplace issues affecting business owners’ obligations and responsibilities as employers in New York. Our popular series of educational events hosted by teleconference allow members to listen to brief presentations on select labor topics and ask questions of expert speakers from Jackson Lewis.
